How the bench works

Credits Bench is an independent editorial project. We review Singapore credit cards by calculating net yield — the actual cashback or miles value after accounting for spend caps, exclusions, annual fees, and foreign transaction markups.

What makes us different

Every card comparison site in Singapore earns a commission when you apply through their links. We don't. No affiliate links, no sponsored placements, no "best card for everyone" lists. We publish the numbers and let you decide.

Our methodology

For each card we calculate:

• Effective cashback % — the real rate after category caps
• Cost per mile — for miles cards, factoring annual fee vs. earn rate
• Break-even spend — how much you need to spend before the card pays for itself
• FX true cost — bank markup + Visa/MC spread, not just the advertised fee

No "best card" lists

The best card depends on your spend pattern. Someone spending $800/month on dining needs a different card than someone spending $3,000 on travel. We give you the numbers; you bring your spend data.
